Who we are
Munchy Ants is a game for iPhone made by Ricardo Gonçalves, an independent developer (“we”). We decide how the app handles data. You can reach us at contato@munchyants.app.
Your game progress
Your levels, stars, coins, boosters, album, league standing and settings are saved only on your iPhone. We don’t run servers that receive them. Your iPhone may include them in its iCloud or computer backup, which you and Apple control. Deleting the app erases them.
Photos
To make a photo level, you pick a photo with Apple’s photo picker. The game sees only the photo you pick. It cuts out the subject and turns it into sugar cubes on your iPhone. The photo is never uploaded, and we never see it.
Game Center
Signing in to Game Center is optional. If you sign in, the game sends your total stars and the cubes you eat each week to Apple’s Game Center leaderboards. Other players can see these scores next to your Game Center nickname. Apple runs Game Center under the Apple Privacy Policy. We don’t receive your Apple Account details.
Purchases
Apple processes every purchase. We never see your name, email address or payment details. Apple only tells the app what you bought, so it can deliver it.
Ads by Google AdMob
Ads help keep Munchy Ants free. The game shows ads from Google AdMob, an advertising service from Google:
- rewarded videos, only when you choose to watch one, for example to double your coins or get a free slot;
- ads between levels, which the game may show from time to time. No Ads or Premium removes them.
When the game loads or shows an ad, Google may collect:
- Advertising identifier (IDFA), only if you allow tracking when iOS asks you through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you don’t allow it, neither the game nor Google can read it.
- IP address, which can be used to estimate your approximate location, such as your city or region.
- Device and app information, such as the device model, iOS version, language and app version.
- Ad interactions, such as which ads you saw or tapped and whether you finished a video.
- Diagnostics, such as crash and performance data from the ads software.
Google uses this data to show and measure ads, limit how often you see the same ad, prevent fraud and improve its services. If you don’t allow personalized ads, Google can still show ads based on context, such as the game itself and your approximate location. We never send Google your photos or your game progress.

Your choices about ads
If you’re in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland or a US state whose law requires it, the game shows Google’s consent message before it loads ads. There you can accept, refuse or adjust personalized ads, or opt out of the sale or sharing of your data.
In Brazil, unless your iPhone tells the game that you’re an adult, the game asks Google only for non-personalized ads and never asks to track you.
You can change your choices at any time:
- In the game: Settings › Ad privacy. This option appears where the law requires it.
- On your iPhone: Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking. Turn off Allow Apps to Request to Track, or turn tracking off just for Munchy Ants.
Saying no to tracking doesn’t remove ads. You’ll still see ads, but they won’t be based on your activity in other companies’ apps and websites.
This website
munchyants.app has no analytics and no ads. If you pick a language, the site saves one cookie with that choice, so your next visit opens in the same language. Cloudflare hosts the site and processes each request, including your IP address, only to deliver the pages and keep them secure.
Children
Munchy Ants is not directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them. The ads in the game are limited to content suitable for a general audience. In Brazil, where the law protects everyone under 18, the game shows only non-personalized ads unless your iPhone tells it you’re an adult. If you believe a child has given us personal information, write to us and we’ll delete it.
Legal bases and transfers
Where the GDPR or Brazil’s LGPD applies, we rely on your consent for ads that use your data, which you can withdraw at any time; on our legitimate interest in keeping the game free, working and secure; and on our contract with you to deliver what you buy.
Google and Apple may process data in the United States and other countries. They protect it with their own safeguards, such as the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, laws such as Brazil’s LGPD, the GDPR in the European Union and the United Kingdom, and the privacy laws of US states give you rights over your personal data. They include the right to know whether we process your data; to access, correct, delete or port it; to object to or restrict processing; to withdraw consent; and to opt out of the sale or sharing of your data for targeted ads.
We hold almost no data about you, because your progress and photos stay on your iPhone. To exercise your rights:
- Ads: use Settings › Ad privacy in the game, or turn off tracking in your iPhone’s settings. For the data Google holds, see the Google Privacy Policy.
- Game Center: manage it in your iPhone’s Settings or at privacy.apple.com.
- Anything else: email contato@munchyants.app. We’ll answer within 15 days, and you’ll never be treated differently for using your rights.
You can also complain to a data protection authority, such as Brazil’s ANPD or the authority where you live.
How long we keep data
Your game progress stays on your iPhone until you delete the app. We keep support emails only while we help you, and we delete them within 12 months after the conversation ends. Google and Apple keep the data they collect under their own policies.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and its effective date. We’ll also mention important changes in the app’s release notes.
